It is not necessary to flush out Epson inks before installing ConeColor inks. ConeColor is a premium pigment product developed upon the same pigment technology of our world famous Piezography B&W inks. Encapsulation is quite different from 'resin' formulas produced by other 3rd party ink companies.

Each ConeColor Pro pigment particle is encapsulated in a micro-thin coatings of acrylic co-polymer that insulates the static charge so that ConeColor pigments can not attract one another, can not clump together, and therefore can not clog your print heads. Vermont PhotoInkjet joins Epson and HP at this standard of chemistry and formulation. It is the only 3rd party ink that has achieved this milestone. One of the most important benefits of ConeColor Pro ink is that it is made with a micro-encapsulated pigment particle. These inks have been sold and updated since 2007 and have a solid reputation built on satisfied user experience. They are directly comparable to the OEM in both reliability and color. Please contact us if you need to buy a set of OEM chips. The OEM chips these require can be new, partially used, or fully used. However, instead of throwing it away when the ink is used, the cartridge requires a customer supplied OEM chip that is autoatically reset with the attached chip controller. The ink is filled with an included syringe, air is purged from the outlet port using the priming tip, and the cartridge is inserted into the printer just like the OEM. This is not your average China made cartridge! The cart is pressure tested and passes several QC tests before being sold. Final assembly is produced at Vermont PhotoInkjet. This cartridge is a perfect marriage of the best designed cartridge with the best designed microchip. This is the only 3rd party micro-encapsulated pigment ink set. The inks are color matching to Epson when used with Epson recommended color workflow. They insert into your EPSON 3880 printer easily.

The refillable cartridges are made of sturdy and clear high-quality polypropylene plastic. It now includes the UltraHD Matte Black which increases dMax from the OEM of 1.64 to 1.84 on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag (for example)!

This ink set is an upgrade to your printer because it exceeds what the OEM provides. Our new HD PhotoBlack can be used with existing ICC profiles for regular Photo Black. This increases the glossiness and dMax of your prints similar to the new Epson HD SureColor printers. This ink set includes the optional High Density Photo Black.
